Taking it a little too seriously
I mean shit, my dad is a huge Patriots fan, and there have been times that they lost a close game and he was upset.. but thankfully nothing like this has ever happened. This is just insane. Click here to see what

Dirty Bird Report Week 4
Puke.
That’s about it. That’s all I can say. Life as a Falcons fan the past 13+ years has been a very difficult life. Up and down. Down then down. Then up… But now down. All I have to say is Doug Johnson sucks. 90% of our game plan going into the season was to get a great relationship built between Vick and Price. Then Vick got hurt and Doug didn’t know jack shit about what flavor gatorade Price enjoys. Duckett actually was the featured back and got a hundred yards. What the hell are they doing with this guy. They still don’t know how to use Dunn and Duckett effectively. Dan Reeves is a joke. This guy is done after this year. Out. They’ll spend big bucks on a new coach and hopefully bring in someone like andy reid, mike holmgrom, or i dont know, anyone else. Every time we stopped them or got a big play there was an illegal procedure or holding call to reverse the play. It was real painful to watch. I drove 80 miles an hour to get back home from Jersey by 430 only to go to the bar and watch that shitty display of teamwork. It was so pathetic. I left before the third quarter was over to go home crawl into a ball and forget about how bad my team is. Next week we ruin the undefeated season of the vikings, then the week after that maybe Vick will come back against the rams on monday night (status unlikely).. Time is our worst enemy now. If we are 2-4 when Vick comes back I’d say we’d have a chance… But if we are 1-5 the season is over and we’ll get some nasty defensive tackle in the draft. What a joke. Throw to Price. Keep Dantzler out of the game.. Fucking pathetic.
In other news.
My Madden fantasy team the Saratoga Tornadoes is looking good with Ricky Williams, Joey Porter, Hines Ward, Tom Brady, Jeremy Shockey, Brian Dawkins, John Lynch.. they will most likely contend for the title. Right now they are 2-0 after going 4-0 in the preseason. Run Ricky Run leads the league in rushing yards with 293. He broke a 59 yard run with 15 seconds left in the game to beat the Redskins 37-34 week 1, that was amazing.
But in the real NFL.. The Broncos won without Portis (barely), the Chiefs got over the Ravens (again, barely). Vikings and Colts showed off some fancy snatching hat tricks by Moss and Harrison. My fantasy teams got their asses kicked this week. I shouldn’t have taken Vick so early and so often. My second pick Price is still fucking me over. The Jets looked pathetic. The Bengals won! (they have a decent team).. Jamal Lewis and Boldin lead the league in rushing and receiving yards?
Tonight.
I see Favre mustering up his last couple ounces of magic to pull out tonight. I don’t think it will be high scoring. And i don’t think it will be a pretty game..Can’t wait to get a look at the improved soldier field (yeah..right)..

Sam Roberts / Guster last night
Straight up Rock and roll.
So last night my ladies and i drive down to albany to catch guster w sam roberts at the palace theatre. it was a pretty interesting show. i went into the show having really no idea what to expect. ive never listened to guster, and i only knew that mustard highly recommended sam roberts.. i made sure we showed up early enough to catch sam’s band.. when we walked in i saw a girl who used to work with us, that was cool… for a few minutes i thought i was at some high school dance or something.. there were “like” so many young kids it was crazy.. think dave matthews fans, but 5 years younger. there were some older people here and there and people that i could tell were cool.. but i couldnt help but thinking, my mom would pick me up outside the concert at 11.. i enjoyed wearing my trey is wilson flip the bird shirt… but anyway… the lights go down and sam and his band came out.. they were indeed pretty good.. pretty straight forward rock and roll.. sam is definately an entertainer though.. the band had a lot of energy. some songs were better than others.. the sound wasnt ideal for them though, as they were somewhat muffled and you could barely tell the vocals.. but he had good crowd interaction here and there in between songs, except i hate when the dude makes the crowd get up and yells at the crowd and stuff… but i can understand if everyone is sitting and youre all juiced.. why not get some fucking movement.. he kept giving props to canada and montreal his home town… he dedicated a song to potheads.. yeah!... the lead guitarist was all over the place jumpin up and down… sam played guitar on and off. and there was another guy who switched between keys and guitar.. and a drummer..and a bass player.. so five players.. mostly guitar… a couple songs the guitars just went off crazy style hard rockin edge type stuff.. it’s cool.. im more of a fan of other sounds floating around than just guitars and drums.. so i liked the songs with keys more i think… either way, i bought their cd after the show and im listening now.. its good stuff… .. then the stage people switched up the stuff and guster came out… guster is also a guitar band with two lead guys who switched guitars every song it seemed.. that guitar tech was real busy the whole show… man!.. this other guy played bass on some songs, guitar on others.. and some sort of sampling keyboard thing here and there, i wasnt really following everything he was doing.. the bass stuff was pretty much just moving the song, there wasnt any funky bass.. the percussionist/drummer guy was awesome… he was really really good.. most of the songs he played percussion rig on and a few he played the smaller drum kit… the guster guy joked in between a song about how the percussion player was using superglue and fake skin to keep his hands together and that it was falling apart and that… once it did fall apart he would play the rest of the set with bloody palms.. cool!... the sound was much better for guster, you could hear their vocals and such… i really enjoyed their music… it was good, parts of some songs sounded recognizable, but i wasnt sure… they played one long set which was about 90 minutes maybe and then came out and did 4 or 5 encore songs.. the lights were also pretty cool.. they did banter here and there in between songs about pointless stuff, which sometimes is cool and other times annoying.. it was neither… but musically, it was pretty entertaining… i got a little bored near the end cause it wasnt a rezi show or anything… but i stuck through… there was some commotion in the crowd and i definately turned around to give the chit chat girls my death stare a few times, but otherwise, the crowd was fine to work with… so the last song they played they did acoustic with tamberine, two acoustic guitars and a banjo… it was pretty cool, people in the crowd only shouted a few times.. so you could hear it…
final thoughts: yeah, i didnt know what to expect and i left thinking it was a good show… it was a good show… i dont have any other shows by each to compare against… some parts were better than others, but on a whole id say it was definately worth the time spent…

A while back we were offered the opportunity to order custom plates with the word “Eden” and our initials… I finally just placed my order so pretty soon when you see these plates drivin around, you’ll know it’s me.
seven oceans circle around me like a disease,
quickly you can see..
its in front of you
its in front of me…
whats this path we chose,
afraid, but YOU cant lose..
quit this.
dont forget this.
im gone from here today
ive left behind no lies.
quickly you can see..
its in front of you
its in front of me…
whats this path we chose,
afraid, but YOU cant lose..
quit this.
dont forget this.
im gone from here today
ive left behind no lies.
Where do we go now?
the streets are alive with passion.
the hills breathe fire from rain.
I stand here today not a man.
but mankind.
I stand here today lifting my arm to forgive
things I can’t change…
like the red potion of tomorrow,
winds bring cold flowing breeze.
this isn’t a path but a promise.
i’m cold in here but the lights on.
its 9, your frozen, and time stands still.
i’ve got an orange, but its broken.
we could stand here now until then
but what would that do.
shit, the curtains just split.
the hills breathe fire from rain.
I stand here today not a man.
but mankind.
I stand here today lifting my arm to forgive
things I can’t change…
like the red potion of tomorrow,
winds bring cold flowing breeze.

Dirty Bird Report Week 3
Eh.
We were prepared for that. We knew it would happen. But we dreamed and we hoped that it wouldn’t be that bad or maybe even we had a chance. But we didn’t. The game was an all around joke for all falcons fans. When we expected the worst case scenario Doug Johnson didn’t let us down and threw an interception. When we yelled at the team for continuing the running game, of which had runs of 1, 2,1, 1, 0, -3, 1, 2 to stop running and pass, they either ran the ball again for 1 yard or threw an interception. When we wanted the blitz to get brad johnson confused we were burnt deep and often. When our secondary played zone they got smoked. Even Brooking as fired up as I have seen him all year did not do enough to help fire up the rest of the team. Rossum showed the games only bright spot when he returned a punt 40 yards. The Falcons were desperate and it wasn’t pretty. Woodrow Dantzler was put in a few times lined up behind center to attempt to confuse the bucs. An acquisition from the cowboys during preseason, no idea where he came from.. he was brought on the team to add some sort of flair to a much needed team who lost most of its flair when vick went down. He showed some getting into the end zone but it wasnt enough and frankly.. was pathetic. Guess we don’t have to worry much about DJ getting picked up by another team who needs a new quarterback in the offseason.. He sucks. Price was at least able to multiple his total number of the catches in the season up to a whopping 10.
From a fantasy perspective and having dunn, price, crumpler on almost every team I have… my teams are doing horrible so far.
But from a love perspective, yesterday hurt. I had expected it, but it still wasn’t fun. At least there weren’t any more major injuries to complain about. Vick’s leg still hurts so that’s not good. Chances are we won’t see him until after the bye week. Bringing us to week 9.
I am still gunning for the playoffs and super bowl championship… I am a VICK believer. The team just needs to step up big time and win the next couple of games. (Carolina, Rams, Vikings) if we even want a chance to compete when Vick comes back… The worse we do however, the more hungry superman will be… So you might want to watch out second half opponents (eagles, giants…etc).
In other news around the league.
Dolphins looked for real last night.. stopping the bungalo bills. The bills offense looked like crap. Williams was damn impressive. Seahawks are for real. Glad to see Robinson getting some catches again. I watched a lot of the Chiefs game yesterday cause it was on the screen next to the Falcons game and I have to say… I don’t think anyone can stop them.. Sure they were playing the texans, and the texans did stop them a few times.. but Holmes is just nasty. Indianopolis and New England are looking pretty good now. Glad to see New Orleans lose. Pittsburgh, for a while I thought they were going to blow that game.. I consider that win lucky.
Tonight
I think Denver will pull it out tonight, hopefully Portis will play most of the game and not be too hampered by his injury.. We’ll see though. Should be a good game.
