So Good News

well sorta, I never really formatted the correct drive on my computer… its a long story, but basically its as if i never did anything…
But in other good news.. I have recovered my 180 gig drive that i thought i would never ever see again… there are years of photos, random mydocs, and other stuff on this drive I thought I lost forever… GIGGITTY GOO! (moving to external as we speak!)... dvd backups to follow.. gooo…. the old dell however, im sure that thing is toast.. it wont be revived anytime soon and wasnt really involved with any of the apparent crazyness with this machine.. I do one day want to reformat the main SCSI drive but… its a bios/raid issue I haven’t eve begun to dig into really.. plus i need to order some jumpers since i dont have any since losing them 2 years ago… so that pretty much is probably my problem.. out…
see yah next year.

Snow Day Confirmed!

Snow Day?

Due to the reality of our new friend: “Mr Foot of Snow” that decided to show up last night and into this morning we’ve decided to skip coming down the mountain for fear of not being able to get back home later tonight..

Doing it…

Got the external harddrive plugged in… Moving pretty much all documents, music, any other files I think are important over, and eventually reformatting this SOB so that it will hopefully have less issues… Not sure how far into this I will get tonight.. I am drinking some tea right now.. so who knows…

Pearl & State

Waiting for the bus….. like always.

To Nandini It

Okay so Nandini commented to me earlier about why my blogs don’t contain enough office drama related material. Which is a good quesiton, but the answer is pretty easy to figure out for yourself. So while we are here I will explain what it means to Nandini your lunch. Which isn’t a bad thing. And I hope she sincerely doesn’t take it the wrong way when she has heard the explanation before. Bless her heart. Like many of us, she enjoys the occasional lunch. We all like lunch. Sometimes Nandini just has eyes that are bigger than her stomach. Sometimes she just doesn’t bring back what she’s really in the mood to eat. Sometimes she’s just not hungry at the time that the rest of us usually eat. All of the above are valid reasons to Nandini her lunch and then some. So when she takes a few bites of something and it’s not satisfying her she will just wrap it up with the intention of saving it for later or if it’s really not good she’ll just toss the rest away in the garbage. So…. To Nandini your lunch is to start eating it but then decide that you don’t want the rest and not eat the rest. Which is good. If you aren’t hungry, there’s no reason to force yourself to eat it. It would probably result in a lot extra baggage around my midsection if I chose to Nandini my lunch at times… but I usually am so hungry by lunch I usually finish even if it takes me forever. So I don’t know if that fully explained the definition of “to nandini it” in a positive way for her or not, but hey… she wanted more blogs about coworkers, so she got it.

Darkest Day of the Year

Turn on your evil spirit and get funky.

It’s gonna be a dark day kids.

Watch out..

Magnets unaligned.

Grid coordinates out of whack.

Horizontal lines astray.

Barcodes floating.

Blank fields not left blank.

Comments abound.

we call this waiting…. at the end of a day

OUCH!

I think I broke my back this morning trying to push Sara’s car out from the spot it didn’t want to move from.

I’ve never felt as old as I do now at this very moment. (which technically is also fact)

Did I really just say this?

I can agree that its not as bold as some of the boldest of bold samples we have rejected for being bold.

Winter storm warning is issued
Capital Region braces for Round 2 of rough weather

Snow, sleet and high winds expected starting late tonight have caused the National Weather Service to issue a winter storm warning beginning at midnight and ending Monday morning.

“Things are going to deteriorate pretty rapidly later this evening,” National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Villani said Saturday. “It’s going to start snowing right around midnight and it could pick up in intensity very, very quickly after the onset.”

The snow will switch over to sleet and freezing rain Sunday morning, according to Villani, who said between 5-10 inches of snow mixed with ice should cover the ground by the time it’s over Monday morning.

Temperatures are expected to be in the teens and 20s during the storm and winds of up to 30 mph should make the air feel even colder.

Villani said there is one positive way to view this storm: “It shouldn’t affect the morning commute,” he said. “At least it’s occurring on the weekend.”

Strike Diabetes Breakfast Soles

so I get these emails all the time (sent to the wrong person at my very common email address)... but this one intrigues me… so now i’m a part of the writers strike?

Michael:

As I stated in my e-mail prior to the beginning of the strike, we’d love to set up some one-on-one meetings between writers and experts on different health issues. One in particular that I’m focused on is diabetes. Is there a time in the next two weeks when I might be able to take you to lunch or breakfast and have our diabetes expert join us to brief you on this issue? Next week we’re going to be dropping by some of the pickets in the valley with refreshments and to introduce ourselves to folks. Hope your soles are holding up.
