Doing it…

Got the external harddrive plugged in… Moving pretty much all documents, music, any other files I think are important over, and eventually reformatting this SOB so that it will hopefully have less issues… Not sure how far into this I will get tonight.. I am drinking some tea right now.. so who knows…

    i can help!

ping me via gmail. easiest solution – take another network card and put it in one of your slots. you’ll know who manufactures the new card, thus be able to get drivers for it. so if your blocking point is connecting to the ‘net…problem solved.

its actually fine right now.. theres actually no card, its like right in the mutha board

no i did not format a floppy drive.

i did do some reading on SCSI and IDE… running both actually.
the IDE drive i did format and install windows xp on and not able to get the nic picked up on was a total separate issue i could not figure out at the time… i tried uninstalling the drivers but shit wasnt going down right.. etc.. . not going to get into it now

i realize it’s an onboard nic, that’s why you get an external card to put in an empty slot.

good to hear that you’re up and running…
