100: Arcade Fire – The Suburbs

15. Arcade Fire – The Suburbs 11/22
Another quality entry release in 2010. As I grabbed the dog to take her for a run at the golf course I decided I would listen to this album during the walk. Strangely enough when I turned the Car on, a track from this album was playing on the radio. I let it play and then started the album. Nine tracks later I realized I had been listening to the album on shuffle. I started the album over and decided I would just repeat the album all day in lieu of this. I like this album a lot and today isn’t its first spin. This is however the type of album that gets better every time you hear it. I wasn’t as sold on it the first few times as I have grown to be. I love the flow of it from top to bottom. I like the repeated themes throughout. I dug the google street view video they did with We Used To Wait. I also like the tracks Modern Man, Half Light II, Suburban War, and the title track The Suburbs. Check it out and give it a few spins if you haven’t yet.

Sometimes I can’t believe it / I’m moving past the feeling / Sometimes I can’t believe it / I’m moving past the feeling and into the night

So I wait in line, I’m a modern man / And the people behind me, they can’t understand / Makes me feel like / Something don’t feel right

Some people say / They’ve already lost / But they’re afraid to pay the cost / For what we’ve lost / Pay the cost for what we’ve lost

One day they will see it’s long gone
