Carnation Sensation
I busted it yesterday. Left work a little early around 4pm. Drove like crazy over to crossgates, got three books and then stopped in price chopper to snag some carnations. Since the traditional first year anniversary gift is paper and carnations I accomplished the goal. Amazingly enough I was able to do all that and still get home right around 5pm. It normally takes an hour to get home so how I was able to fit time in still boggles me. But anyway! To top it off she didn’t think I’d get her a gift, so my gift is I get to share the books I got with her! haha! After I got back, and with my brain still moving, we went to Milano’s in Latham and then played mini-golf at the King’s place right near there. I have some video of our unimpressive putt putt abilities. We ended up ordering the same thing at Milano’s and it was really tasty, but the rest of the night was filled with absolutely toxic fumes coming out of us. What ya gonna do? The dog didn’t die from them, so guess we also survived it. Ha! But anyway, it was good times. Today, we rest.
Stupid Battery
This was referred to as “Express” installation. Took the guy a half hour to do everything.
Here’s the backstory:
So…. kids…. where’s the worst spot your car ever decided to stall out and not turn back on?
so i go out to start my car this morning and nothing. i jump it with this portable jumping car starting thing.. and it works.. good…. i drive all the way into albany, get off the highway and right when two lanes becomes one by some lights…. it stalls out and does not click back on… awesome… Not.. so i jam on the hazards.. and oh yeah side note – ya know the part in your car that you pull to get your hood up, yeah, my little cousin snapped that off years ago.. so i gotta use plyers to open it up and get it up, okay so i finangle it up, and set the red on the red and the black on the metal… and im able to start it up… good… put it all away and get out of there…. i was able to do all this in probably less than a minute, and for all intensive purposes i got my ass out of there quick without too much of a hassle… what an annoyance.
guess i better go get a new battery today and stop ignoring that light flickering on and off for a while now.

Trucker Rally
A whole lot of truckers in downtown Albany, NY right now blaring their horns in opposition to the gas prices. I don’t think a lot of people are getting much work done right now.
