Rollin’ Coins

Okay, so I spent the entire afternoon rolling the coins I have collected since the year 2001 and I have to say that I’m might impressed. First off, even with the help of Sara this task took over 5 hours to complete. Second off, now I can pay some of my bills. So that’s good.

So here is the pile that I started with…

Then after that I sorted the coins out into separate piles (and after that separated the quarters so that the new state quarters would be separate)

And finally we put all the state quarters out onto my new state quarter map thing where I seemed to have the most of Maryland and Connecticut

Yeah, I’ve made progress.

And alas, it’s over.

So not counting the Half Dollars (27), Sacajaweeah dollars (12), and silver dollars (2) because I am not going to bring those to the bank just yet, here is the final tally.

1,500 pennies
560 nickels
950 dimes
1,320 quarters

which amounts to $468 dollars which I essentially didn’t have yesterday.

Lessons learned:
-It’s good to save your loose coins for a few years or so.
-It stinks to actually have to roll them up.
-I still think it was worth it to do it myself (rather than put it in some machine and have that machine take a cut of my money)

Happy Holidays

Michael

So far so good tonight…

The first touchdown run especially.

Wow.. How about that catch by Roddy White too?

I’m pissed SuperDeMario caused a roughing penalty negating that awesome DeAngelo HAll TD.

And now TD number two to MV Smooth

Sage’s Baby Teeth

Well folks, yesterday I managed to finally wiggle out that baby canine that I had been working on. Afterwards I was able to take out two molars on the bottom jaw to complete my set and remove the rest of the baby teeth attached to sagey’s brain. No, she didn’t exactly enjoy me helping her baby teeth free themselves but it was fun for me nonetheless. She is crazy.

Here is a picture of her beautiful teeth with a few baby teeth still attached. You can see her chipped canine still in her mouth with her adult tooth shoving it out of the way.

Here are the baby teeth we managed to either find or pull out ourselves. The other ones she lost or swallowed along her journey.

Big News!

We’re like so totally engaged.
It happened on May 5th, 2005 (5-5-5). We’re very excited and looking towards a July 7th, 2007 ceremony and party.

(that picture doesn’t really do the ring its justice, it sort of looks like the one in this picture)

#1 in the World

Tiger Woods reclaimed his #1 ranking today in an epic battle vs Phil Mickelson.

In a titanic battle on the Blue Monster before a sellout crowd, Woods made a 30-foot birdie putt on the 17th, then held his breath as the resilient Mickelson nearly chipped in for birdie on the final hole. After four hours of dramatic shifts in momentum and thunderous cheers, Woods ended a spectacular duel with a 6-foot par putt.

That gave him a 6-under 66 for a one-shot victory in the Ford Championship at Doral, putting Woods back at No. 1 in the world ranking for the first time since September.

700 wins

Coach Jim Boeheim secured his 700th win on senior day as Syracuse beat Providence 91-66. Hakim Warrick, Josh Pace, and Craig Forth were honored as they played their last game in front of 30,000+ Carrier Dome fans. Warrick scored a career high 36 points to lead the ‘Cuse to victory.

Boeheim became the 18th Division I coach to record 700 career victories and the fifth fastest, trailing only Adolph Rupp, Jerry Tarkanian, Dean Smith and Phog Allen.

FLY LIKE A FALCON

Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin
Into the future

I want to fly like a falcon
To the sea
Fly like a falcon
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like a falcon
Till Im free
Oh, lord, through the revolution

Feed the babies
Who dont have enough to eat
Shoe the children
With no shoes on their feet
House the people
Livin in the street
Oh, oh, theres a solution

I want to fly like a falcon
To the sea
Fly like a falcon
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an falcon
Till Im free
Fly through the revolution

Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin

Friends

NAIROBI (AFP) – A baby-hippopotamus that survived the tsumani waves on the Kenyan coast has formed a strong bond with a giant male century-old tortoise, in an animal facility in the port city of Mombasa, officials said.

The hippopotamus, nicknamed Owen and weighing about 300 kilograms (650 pounds), was swept down Sabaki River into the Indian Ocean, then forced back to shore when tsumani waves struck the Kenyan coast on December 26, before wildlife rangers rescued him.

“It is incredible. A-less-than-a-year-old hippo has adopted a male tortoise, about a century old, and the tortoise seems to be very happy with being a ‘mother’,” ecologist Paula Kahumbu, who is in charge of Lafarge Park, told AFP.

Super Vick

Michael Vick, Mr Amazing, ties up last Saturday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Jay Feely kicked the game winning kick in overtime and Atlanta clinched the number 2 seed in the NFC playoffs.

Vick and several other starters will rest this weekend in anticipation of the offseason.

Vick to Crump

I’m Back in Michigan.

This is the best thing we got going as far as a passing game. But I gotta say.. It’s a pretty good thing.
