Okay, so I spent the entire afternoon rolling the coins I have collected since the year 2001 and I have to say that I’m might impressed. First off, even with the help of Sara this task took over 5 hours to complete. Second off, now I can pay some of my bills. So that’s good.
So here is the pile that I started with…

Then after that I sorted the coins out into separate piles (and after that separated the quarters so that the new state quarters would be separate)

And finally we put all the state quarters out onto my new state quarter map thing where I seemed to have the most of Maryland and Connecticut

Yeah, I’ve made progress.

And alas, it’s over.

So not counting the Half Dollars (27), Sacajaweeah dollars (12), and silver dollars (2) because I am not going to bring those to the bank just yet, here is the final tally.
1,500 pennies
560 nickels
950 dimes
1,320 quarters
which amounts to $468 dollars which I essentially didn’t have yesterday.
Lessons learned:
-It’s good to save your loose coins for a few years or so.
-It stinks to actually have to roll them up.
-I still think it was worth it to do it myself (rather than put it in some machine and have that machine take a cut of my money)
