Phish, Fenway.

Awesome show. Nothing Spacey Jammed out or anything.. Mike at the end of YEM great shit. Disease was considerably shorter and tighter. Bathtub Gin and Bowie were the mothers milk as well. good shit there. the new songs were good. TTE is a little long and i heard it off myspace/bso show... so knew what to semi expect there.. iiwii.. anyway, Tweezer into Light was Awesome. 3 song encore was nice, even though im semi-over hearing GTBT, feel like it follows me... My buddy back home plays Curtis Lowe on acoustic so was pumped to hear that, and sent him a txt.. It was all about the Second Set to me.. first set was good.. but the whole thing felt like an afternoon show separate from an evening/night show.. Loved the spot in Sample in the Jar when it was realized completely that the rain/clouds were leaving (it downpour'd right before the Anthem/Play Ball and many people missed it entirely--it was still raining when they sung that actually)... so after that, and during Sample especially.. the sky opened up and it was on from then on out... Our seats were fantastic.. at a baseball game it would have been 7 rows from the bottom, closer to pesky pole than first base.. fishman/mike side.. but basically dead on.. i have a few decent pics that im working on getting up... awesome awesome show..

Bobby Jones

We just left the bodega where we bought some beverages. Bob dropped an entire beer on the ground and it shattered into tiny pieces and made a huge mess. He didn't pay for it.

Following V-Dig and Bob Jones

Too tired to move, but now I gotta follow Bob Jones on our path back to New Jersey. Which by the way took 2 hours and was one of the most surreal experiences ever. I pretty much slept half the time. Walking down 34th street was so weird. Bob stopped for a coffee and breakfast sandwich and I was not interested in any such thing. Glad I survived, but it was rough.

The End of Rezi

My favorite band and some of my best friends have decided to end the Rezi project for various reasons. It is truly a sad thing to see but what's meant to happen always happens in the end. Due to various differences and such the band's last shows will be next weekend. It's especially rough for me cause I grew up with this band. I met them through a mutual friend back in the summer of 2000 and have been enjoying their personalities and music ever since. The band has evolved into something I never could have imagined back in the day. Their music got more complex and they gained more and more fans not only across New York state but across the Northeast and the entire country. For a substantial portion of the entire voyage I was there. I recorded over 50 of their shows. I built their website (albeit I'm still not done with it) and spread the word of Rezi to everyone I met. I added the message board and got people involved with their online community. I took pictures at these shows and archived posters, hand-written setlists, and other various schwag. I helped carry shit up. I helped pack the van up. I helped set the stage up. I was always there for them and they knew it. I saw 86 out of 221 total shows which was tricky because for the most part I didn't live in the same town. I met the band in between my junior and senior year at school and was able to get to know each member personally. I graduated and moved 100 miles away to Saratoga but made trips to go see shows religiously almost every weekend. I rode with the band to Plattsburgh, Pennsylvania, and many other places. I missed out on a lot of good times but was able to be apart of many more. I went to shows during the middle of the week and drove to work at 5am the next day. I was there when different members had to move away from the band and when new ones came aboard. I listened to them gripe about problems they had with each other and with anything else that bothered them in life. I always pushed them to keep going. I always knew they could make it. Ever since that first day when I heard their fresh new sounds I knew they had talent. At the time the oldest member was 17. Their drummer was 14 for cripes sake. As they grew older, I grew older. I'm so proud of how far they've come and everything they accomplished. And even though this bids the end of the Rezi chapter it in no way signifies the end of this wild ride. There is different discussions of each of them forming their own side projects. And although some of them aren't as optimistic as I am, I'll always remain optimistic about the future. In a way this represents a huge change in my life. I'm not exactly ready to move on so I will always listen to the music I have collected. I'll continue to share it with friends. I'll continue to believe. I know this isn't the end. It's just the end of this chapter.

Here is a sample of just some of my most fondest memories..

meeting these guys on main street, going to phils.. breaking his table in his back yard.. driving phil ned and two chicks to my first rezi show in sidney... the retartet chipmunk.. hectar "this next song is in spanish and is for my girlfriend".. whose go the funk?... battle of the bands with ground zero and fools at play.. first couple autumn shows... the "tuning" song.. twisted groove!.. the butchered slave and jiboo.. the madness that was the pine lake show.. seeing hectar go.. cooperstown high school show which may have been their only theatre show.. the jam with phil and his dad sal even though they werent exactly in tune.. running sound for russ 's first show... marks first show at the waterfront... seeing rezi in burlington and dancing with sara on the dancefloor by ourselves... 11/30/01 autumn show which could be my favorite of all time... the bistro not letting us play cause packy was underage.. tequilas and the debut of the song i wrote karibe.. spring 2002 shows at the oak which were so uber fab... springfling and snow in the morning... ellis being around.. smokey joes and falcos field shows.. scatterbrains debut!.. northern lights battle of the bands... first shows in albany at valentines... first time up in the monopole.. rezi as a power trio.. rock out & oblivious debut.. going with phil ned and packy to pennsylvania to play the after trey show and walking around handing out flyers in the lot then trying to find beer bellies bar.... first show at zacquor!.. 12/29 show up at nectars... lasting impression debut (second song with my lyrics)... running lights at northern lights when rezi opened for strangefolk... the lagoon show in glens falls and that tasty oblivious.. that early february weekend in 03 at the autumn and monopole.. ubu night... the la choza show... first time at beardslee.. hartwick college lauras cafe show ... the 5/9 zacquor show.... springfling number 2 with the friday night show and the sunday morning show at 6am which was just amazing at the time and also packys last show.. e-rocks opening month and the shows in saratoga.. the gspot and no one showing up... the amazing july fourth weekend in oneonta and gloversville.. the crowd growing and growing each return visit to gloversville... july fest fun times... I do not regret a thing... I am so glad that I got to be a part of this whole thing from the somewhat early beginnings.. I am glad I pushed Phil and Ned and everyone else to take it as far as it can go... I'm sad to see this split occur. I'm very excited to see where this all evolves to. Rezi may end soon as we know it... but i'll be a monkeys uncle if i am going to let them all surrender completely. the show must go on.. and even if the faces change.. I will still be there front row center with my eyes closed getting narsty on the dance floor.

A Thank You

For the past five years, Rezi has been a band that developed a very solid foundation, both through its music, and with their fans. There are tons of people that have come and gone through the years, many of whome, we could not have done this without. First and foremost, we would like to thank past members of the band. Packy, Jason, Russ, Hector(squared) Stetson, Mark, Ned and anybody else who has graced the stage with us. Secondly, we send great thanks to all of the dedicated fans that have given us a reason to play. As you can tell, this is sort of a goodbye letter as Rezi as you know it will no longer exist after the May 7th show at the General Clinton Pub. We have three more shows to go, and we hope that we see as many of you guys at those shows as possible. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts for all that you guys have done for us, and don't worry, the rock will never stop.

Yours truly,

At which time either my father will be picking me up and I will spend the week in Holley, NY or I will stay and meet up with Sara once she reaches New Jersey. Not sure what is happening yet. Can I live while I’m young?

Okay so a while back I asked for some topics to discuss and you basically gave me the following; taste buds, diet pepsi, york peppermint patties, and porno (thanks bob jones) and grant and ben for these lovely ever so interesting topics.

When I was younger, in my older days, we used to sit around telling stories of the days of old. We'd bite, we'd chew, and we'd swallow. The moment I discovered the wondefully uplifting fruity taste of one of those smelly york peppermint patties my first reaction was spew. And my second reaction was also upchuck. But that's not a pleasant way to recap my discovery so I'll put a sugar coating on the outside of this wrap. Fresh. Like mentos, only cheaper. But theres chocolate so thats good in my book. My taste buds froze with excitement but buried themselves in pity and shame. 85 cents later (inflated to today's prices) I felt used, abused, and for lack of a better description, violated. The turkey was dead, but what could I do?

Bob Jones showed up in my mind (much like the devil does, and this was before I even knew what or who Bob Jones was) and told me that first off, I needed more, and second off, I should wash that down with some Diet Pepsi. Although, maybe I was watching TV at the time, I'm not sure. Can I live while I'm young? What's this taste of a new generation. Are you sure? I'm not. What generation? Generation Multi-Task! So anyway, I bought some Diet Pepsi for the grand total of a buck thirty four and looked in my pocket and realized I only had 30 cents left. I drank the POP and found my taste buds dulled by my moronic necessity to spend money wastefully on this junk. Pop good, soda okay, cola alright. What is it now that I taste?

Trip to New Jersey
The trip to New Jersey was in retrospect quite successful. I was able to sift through the products and give basically an 8 hour lesson/demo on all of its features and functions. There were some issues like their servers processing extremely slow which made for a very annoying day but in the end it was successfully mostly because I survived. I'm glad its over, but I fear my name is going to be called again soon to go onsite. The drive was pretty crappy last night cause it was raining the whole way. I hate driving in the rain at night. Bob Jones was up to no-good when I met up with him Tuesday. Thanks again for letting me crash over. I woke up mad early yesterday morning for my Jersey commute. Thankfully I was going the opposite direction than the flow and had no troubles finding the site. It was extremely foggy but I didn't let that hold me back. The people I met with were nice, so that's always a plus.

Steroids in Baseball
Steroids in Baseball is a big deal. Players have been cheating. They are using steroids, THG, Ando, and Human Gene Hormones to drastically alter their body in order to increase their performance on the field. They are destroying themselves and cheating. Players who use these substances have an unfair advantage and should be banned or removed from baseball.
It does not seem right that a great ball player like Barry Bonds has hit over 225 home runs since his 35th birthday and is obviously much bigger than he ever was during the first 10 years of his career. The guy is wearing a hat four sizes larger than what he wore in the mid nineties.
Mark McGwire was caught by a reporter in 1998 for having Andro in his locker, in the open, the year after he broke the all time home run record. A shot putter was banned for life and stripped of all his gold medals because of the same substance, yet Major League Baseball pretty much ignored this and changed policies on reporters being in locker rooms.
Before 1995 there were 18 players to hit more than 50 home runs in a season, since 1995 there have been 18 players to hit more than 50 home runs in a season. It is a big deal and needs to stop.
5% of the players in baseball failed announced tests during spring training last year. And basically you need to fail 5 years in a row under the new rules in order to be banned from baseball. It's ridiculous. And they say the players union will never let them test and let test results be known to the general public. It's such bullshit.

Keyshawn Got Dumped
How about that. Keyshawn got de-activated on Tuesday from the Tampa Bay Buccanears. He must have really pissed some people off in the front office, including coach Gruden. Supposedly he met with coach Gruden a couple weeks ago and said how much he didn't like him, his coaching strategy, or the team in general. He said he would be gone after the year was over and wanted to leave. Then last week he supposedly put his house in Tampa for sale. It is seen as a loss-loss situation for both parties.
The Bucs are not better without him on the field, but they have removed this enigma from their locker room. Keyshawn has been blacklisted as a player who only cares about himself and the amount of times he gets the ball thrown to him, rather than being a team player and only concentrating on winning and doing whats necessary to help ensure the team wins. It hasn't been a pleasant rebounding season for the Bucs who are now 4-6 after winning the Super Bowl championship last year. Who'se better off?

Vick Reinjuring Ankle
Michael Vick, who had hoped to return to the Atlanta Falcons lineup this weekend, said Thursday that his ankle is still hurting and he most likely won't play in any capacity against the Tennessee Titans.
Vick was hurt in practice Wednesday when a teammate stepped on the his right ankle in a walkthrough. He said Thursday that it was too early to tell whether he'll be able to play next week.
Team orthopedist Andrew Bishop and trainer Ron Medlin said Wednesday that Vick did not sustain further damage to his right foot. They added that Vick rolled his ankle after taking a snap and trying to step to his right as his foot was caught.

Let It Be Naked
I've picked up the new Beatles cd which removes the wall of sound added by Phil Spectre post production of the original recording of the Let it Be sessions and I can accurately and proudly say that it is a great gosh darn cd. The Beatles are great in any shape or form, but listening to this album has really put in perspective how great this band would have been if they underproduced every disc rather than adding too much which sometimes you could say they did. I'm not too familiar with the original release of Let it Be because I do not own that album but I'm interested in sitting down and listening to the differences. The second disc included in this Let it Be package is called "A fly on the wall" and basically has about 20 minutes of clips of songs, little insights and quicks by the fab four, and other golden nuggets. For 12.99 this was a great purchase.

MJ
I don't understand why the world is out to seek the worst penalties on this man before knowing the truth to the entire matter. Regardless of every single Media's speculation, I find Michael Jackson to be harmless. Yes he's weird. So what. If it does turn out that he is extremely guilty than its a different story. But it makes me sick how horrible he is treated and has been treated the past 15 years. I really feel bad for him. Just misunderstood? It's not fair to any living human the way he has been repeatedly treated in the media. Maybe someone should have killed him 10 years ago, so he didn't have to go through this and we could just remember him as a legend.
