Phish, Fenway.
Awesome show. Nothing Spacey Jammed out or anything.. Mike at the end of YEM great shit. Disease was considerably shorter and tighter. Bathtub Gin and Bowie were the mothers milk as well. good shit there. the new songs were good. TTE is a little long and i heard it off myspace/bso show... so knew what to semi expect there.. iiwii.. anyway, Tweezer into Light was Awesome. 3 song encore was nice, even though im semi-over hearing GTBT, feel like it follows me... My buddy back home plays Curtis Lowe on acoustic so was pumped to hear that, and sent him a txt.. It was all about the Second Set to me.. first set was good.. but the whole thing felt like an afternoon show separate from an evening/night show.. Loved the spot in Sample in the Jar when it was realized completely that the rain/clouds were leaving (it downpour'd right before the Anthem/Play Ball and many people missed it entirely--it was still raining when they sung that actually)... so after that, and during Sample especially.. the sky opened up and it was on from then on out... Our seats were fantastic.. at a baseball game it would have been 7 rows from the bottom, closer to pesky pole than first base.. fishman/mike side.. but basically dead on.. i have a few decent pics that im working on getting up... awesome awesome show..

Boston
Before this blog becomes a complete dumping ground of archived tweets..... Trip Number 1 of 3 to Boston is this weekend. So excited. Rolling in with Bobby Jones on Saturday. Staying with Colleen in Cambridge. Hitting up Harvard Square Saturday Night. Then we'll be joined by Tommy S as we make our way to Fenway Park to hit up some Phish action.... and next weekend I go back to Boston for more! Let's do it. June is a crazy month for me with 3 scheduled trips to Boston plus two other local adventures in between. So let's knock it our and get it started. I'm ready. I'm amped.
Friday!
What a sicky week... but thankfully... here we are it's FRIDAY time!
YAY!
My little sister Colleenie is on here way down from the Adirondacks to visit us for the weekend. We are going to have a rocking good time. Tonight Greg's band Firefighter Font is playing up in Saratoga. We'll most likely check that out and it will be our first time collectively seeing them play. Her friend Kate is driving in tomorrow and we have loose plans to do various activities throughout the weekend. Should be a grand ole time!
We went on a shopping spree at Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday and bought the following items and more if I don't remember everything. Another 45 piece set of silverware (Oneida - Icarus). We got one set for our wedding but figured we should get another set now before it's impossible to find our set and then we have more than 8 forks, spoons, etc.. That wast he big ticket item. We got a new silverware thing to actually put them in. We also got a bed dust ruffle/skirt thingy (Nautica-Highland) to match our new duvet cover, etc. We got a new mattress cover. Let's see. We got 4 new towels (2 light green, 2 light blue) and matching hand towels and wash clothes. I got a new coffee mug. We got a couple empty spice containers for our new spice rack (red pepper wasn't one of the spices it came with, and will be subsequently substituted in for one of the ones we don't use often). We got a few flat cooking pans. We got a bread loaf sized pyrex glass pan. We got a stainless steel plunger thingy for the bathroom. I think that was it, but there was possibly a few more items, but anyway... I won't even talk about the insane ordeal of trying to return a broken item and the annoyance we had in dealing with it.. but anyway..
Onward and Upward... Happy Friday everyone and enjoy the weekend!
Turkey Day in Mt Pleasant
My parents and sister are en route to the metropolis that isn't Mt Pleasant right about now. May they have a safe journey.
Happy Birthday CJ
My sister Colleen just turned 23 years old.
Woah.
And she just got a 30 minute phone call taboot. I think that's a new record.
In NY
Oh NY. After six hours in the car and only 1 stop I landed in Buffalo around 2:30 PM. I visited with my sister and her friend Kate and we gossiped about all you people reading this now and more. Even those who don't know who to read. And especially the ones that don't follow sentence structure or grammar rules. Her roomates are in a tiffy but whatever. We went to eat at some Greek place and my poor ass was treated to lunch by my sister who for once makes more money than me cause I am poor. I know I repeated poor in that sentence on purpose. So anyway we went back to her apartment and yakked more about all those losers in Holley who are still in Holley and about the few of us who actually have gotten out and have moved on to better things in life, even if that means sitting around for 70 days being unemployed and poor. It's still better.
So it got dark, like it does every day, and I decided it was a good time to hit the road and head over to my parents house which was about another hour east. I had no problems finding my way out of the edges of Buffalo and took the thruway to the Pembroke exit. I busted down Oakfield/Alabama road or whatever it is and jetted through Clarenon on 237. I beeped my horn past the houses I knew and went home and met my parents new cat. It doesn't have a name yet. The dog and cat seem to get along quite well. The cat owns jerry. They get along really well. Jerry licks it and the cat doesnt care. When the cat is playing it will sneek up on him and try to get his tail. She also gets up on two legs and punches him the face with her other two front paws. He backs away. I want to make a video, its funny. I tried to call my friend Tom Harrington but I guess I don't have his phone number in my new phone. It was in the calls list and I tried to get into my online account at my cell company but I haven't logged in yet and when I called their system was down or something. Oh well, next time. It's probably a good thing I am not out staying up late tonight. Well, time to go brush these teeth and pass out watching sportscenter. Later.
Hit the Road Time
It's just about time to take the first bms tour of the year with this morning being the kick start. I'm off to Buffalo to visit my sister and then on to Holley to see the folks and watch the dog whimper over the new cat. Then tommorrow it will be time to witness the nuptials of Sir Thomas Stanton and Jamie Vendetti of Holley High School fame. Then onward to Oneonta for a Halloween dose of Rezi and a visit to the Oneonter boys. Then come Monday it will be high time to get back Jack to Michigan in time to enter my swing vote in Tuesday's election. Yee-haw skadoodle. Maybe I'll check in from the road. Adios.
Getting Older?
Nah. Well. Technically yes. I can't believe my sister Colleen graduates from college this weekend.
It seems like only yesterday I was holding her under water at Gene's Quarry. Or nutmegging her with my soccer moves and running circles around her in the back yard. Or watching her put a snow suit on in the middle of the summer to rescue our dog who was trapped by his chain in a bees nest. We ha
But we both got older. I went on to college. She finished high school and then traversed into the college world. We both had our struggles with adjustment, who doesn't? It's normal. Now four years later, she's graduating with a degree in English. She still can't decide if she wants to continue with schooling on a graduate level or get started on her career. She still doesn't know what she wants to do for a career, but neither do I.
It's all happening Sunday. She's graduating from Lemoyne College in Syracuse and the next step for all of us is still yet to be determined. It will be exciting. My parents and my grandmother will be there along with my aunt Cathy and Margie. I'm sure we'll go out to eat a few times. I'm sure I can sneak a little Saturday night Laker action into the mix as well. I'm sure my dad won't stay awake, but I'll have to wake him if its close near the end.
Congrats Colleen! and good luck with whichever step you take next. I'll be watching!
Weekend Blastimo!

Falcons win! 27-13 against Dallas. Great game for the team. Positive motivation and proof that we don't need Vick to win. Keep up the good work boys. Next week we play the Skins.. Should be fun! Griffith was very impressive in his nfl debut at fullback. Nice!
Last Night
Last night was fun, we went to an engagement party in Cooperstown for Jeremiah Brown and his fiance Candice. It was cool. I got to see a lot of my swimmer friends from college that I had not seen in quite some time including Sloan, CJ, Tanaka, and Erika. We had fun. Then we drove back to Saratoga around 10pm and went out with Joanna and Ed. That was also fun. I was very tired. I slept until 1 today.
Friday Night
Friday Night Rezi played the Carriage House at Beardslee Castle. It was great. They played with another band and all the sets sequed into each other's sets. It was cool how they did that. Basically the music never stopped all night. Fun times. It was my sisters first Rezi show. It was a late night, and it required driving home very late at night. I got back by 4 AM.
