Gmail Invites
I’m burning right through my Gmail invites and they keep giving me more! Thats right! I had 2, then 3, then 3, then 5 and I’m almost through the 5th of this last bunch.. Oh and I’ll never give one to any of you random internet people that keep emailing me about it.. I don’t know you so why do I care if you get the hook up or not. Peace, I’m out!
Oh and its kinda funny. I sent out an email across the board to see if anyone was interested at work. Sales people don’t know what it is or haven’t heard of it. And the tech people either already have it or have expressed interest.
Experimenting
Blogger came out with a bunch of new features so over the next few days or so I will be experimenting with them a bit to see what I can do to make this a more pleasureable experience.
I love that I can now do comments with blogger.com, so I will be dumping my old comment system soon, so don’t use it. Unfortunately only new blog entries can have the new comment system. That’s ok. I have a lot of pages I need to go back through and update the picture link to them. As you can see, the pictures on many of my entries have since died. That’s not good. That will be a bitch to update.

Google,Yahoo duel heating up
Monday, May 10, 2004 Posted: 6:13 PM EDT (2213 GMT)
SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) — Internet search engine leader Google Inc. on Monday introduced a simpler way to publish the online personal journals known as “blogs,” continuing a flurry of improvements that has coincided with stiffer competition from its former ally, Yahoo! Inc.
The revisions to Google’s Blogger.com are designed to make it easier for computer neophytes to create and update their own personal journals for free.
The journals — known as Web logs, or blogs for short — have caught on among the high-tech cognoscenti as an alternative way to spread information and commentary, skirting the mainstream media.
Mountain View, California-based Google hopes the Blogger changes will encourage more people to visit and use the 5-year-old site. It’s the first significant upgrade of Blogger.com since Google bought the site’s parent company, Pyra Labs, 15 months ago.
Google declined to reveal how many people use Blogger.com, which boasted more than 1 million members, including 200,000 active blogs, at the time of the acquisition.
Okay, so what’s next?
Okay, so now that the NFL Draft is over, what do I have to look forward to next? Doing Laundry? Updating myself? Getting my feelers out there feeling? Sunshine? The Stanley Cup? Baseball season? Losing another game of online NBA Live?
As I typed the first line I remembered the NBA Playoffs. Kobe’s in court this week and could show up late for game 5 against Houston back in LA. The Lakers lead the series 3-1 and should be able to close it out Wednesday. They’ll have to face a tough San Antonio team next, which is always rough.
But what else is going on?
As you can see I’ve got some google ads on my site now which can’t hurt. If you see something that catches your eye, don’t hesitate to check it out and click around a little bit.
But what else?
I’ve got a few client projects going on right now.. smoothening out some work that was done by people who aren’t with us anymore. Everything in this department is going well.
I’ve been playing Nintendo games on my computer at home a little bit recently. That’s always fun.
Does anyone else come to this site? Post a reaction? Send me your link and we can be link buddies. Give me a shout out.
I can’t think of anything else right now. I’m still very happy about the Falcons draft this past weekend. I had looked forward to this previous weekend for so long and so hard. Now that it’s passed I’m trying to figure out what’s next.
Also, I changed the archives from showing a full month to only showing a week’s work of blogs. You may notice many more options to the right. I expect google’s search index to update within the next couple of weeks. This way it should be easier for people to find old entries when searching and I’ll also display a wider range of google ads per page. Thanks for the support.

A Google approach to email
Gmail is an experiment in a new kind of webmail, built on the idea that you should never have to delete mail and you should always be able to find the message you want. The key features are:
Search, don’t sort.
Use Google search to find the exact message you want, no matter when it was sent or received.
Don’t throw anything away.
1000 megabytes of free storage so you’ll never need to delete another message.
Keep it all in context.
Each message is grouped with all its replies and displayed as a conversation.
No pop-up ads. No banners.
You see only relevant text ads and links to related web pages of interest.
