Game 7 All Around
well not in miami beach florida
Today Cleveland @ Detroit
Tomorrow Dallas @ San Antonio, LA Clippers @ Phoenix
so 80% of the time the home team wins that would leave
Detroit vs Miami, San Antonio vs Phoenix
I don't exactly care who makes it all the way but I'd rather not see a rematch of last years Detroit vs San Antonio matchup. Either way, I will of course be watching the rest of the playoffs and the finals despite my Lakers not taking part.
I look at it like this:
If Detroit goes to the finals then whatever, I'll just have something sports-wise to talk about with other people at work.
If Cleveland goes all the way then it will be awesome to see how far LeBron can push it so early in his career. Didn't it take Jordan something like 5 times to get past Detroit?
Miami in the finals would be fine since D-Wade is like the best player in the league and I've always had a kinship with my brother Shaquille.
I'm pulling for the Suns in the West despite how even more awesome they would be to watch with Amare in the middle. Nash is just the man and he deserves his due soon.
The Mavs in the finals would be fine cause Dirk is like Super-man even though he is just another cheesy European player. Plus Cuban puts on a good show.
I'd rather not see the Spurs cause I can pretty much guarantee they will win it and it won't be exciting. Mr Fundamental Timmy D will stop anybody, Parker will run circles around whoever tries to guard him, and Manu will make Jordanesque plays minus the thundering dunks and the Spurs will win again.
If the Clippers make it I will have a tough time swallowing watching the games. Sam Cassel is just the ugliest player in the league and it's the Clippers for cripes sake. Brand is a beast however.
So with that being said,
I'm rooting for the Cavs today and the Mavs and Suns tomorrow.
NBA Quarterfinals
Dallas Mavericks vs San Antonio Spurs
I think the Mavs will finally get it done here. It will take at least 6 or 7 games but I'm hoping Dirk and Cubes finally get over this hump. Plus I'm sick of seeing the Spurs in the finals.
Phoenix Suns vs LA Clippers
So much for the hallway series between clips and lakers. I really like how the Suns play. They get turnovers then go for three. I think if Tim Thomas, Boris Diaw, and Shawn Marion continue to play the way they did in the last 3 games of the Lakers series then they should be able to get past the Clippers. Plus I want to see Steve Nash against his former team and also it would be nice to see Nash win 1 championship in his career. He is just awesome to watch. So with that being said Suns in 6.
Miami Heat vs NJ Nets
I won't be suprised when the Nets beat Miami in 5 or 6 games. Wade is banged up. Shaq is getting old. And Gary Payton just sucks. If Wade and Shaq can carry the team then they have a chance but the dynamic trio of Kidd-Jefferson-Carter is just going to be too tough if they play consistent. Nets in 6.
Detroit Pistons vs Cleveland Cavaliers
Lebron will have one game where he scores 40 points has 8 rebounds and 8 assists and that will be the only game that Cleveland wins. Detroit will shut down Cleveland the rest of the time to win the series in 5 games.
Lakers up 3-1 on Suns

Lakers up 2-1
Lakers won last night against Phoenix. Lamar played great and there was balanced scoring for the entire team. Kwame had 13 points and 11 rebounds, Lamar had 15 points 17 rebounds, Luke Walton had 17 points and 10 rebounds, Kobe Bryant had 17 points 7 assists and 5 rebounds, and Smush Parker had 18 points. The team played great and now I'm starting to really feel that they have a chance to win the series.
Lakers Breaking News

Spurs’ Protest Denied
NEW YORK, May 14 -- The National Basketball Association announced today that Commissioner David Stern has denied the San Antonio Spurs' protest of its 74-73 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on May 13.
The Spurs claimed that Lakers guard Derek Fisher’s game-winning shot was not taken within the 0.4 seconds that remained in the game when the ball was in-bounded. Video tape review revealed that the game clock was started appropriately and confirmed the finding of the referees using instant replay that the shot was released before time expired.
Fish at the Buzzzzzzzzzzzzer

This was one of the greatest finishes to a basketball game I have ever seen. Moments after Tim Duncan hit the first game winning shot for the Spurs I kept the faith. I believed that the Lakers could do it. The Lakers blew a 16 point game and now the most important half a second in the season was about to go down. While Shaq and Kobe were tightly guarded, Derek Fisher slipped free, caught the inbound pass, and nailed the basket. Game. 3-2 series lead for the mighty Lakers. They can now finish the series Saturday night in LA.

Derek Fisher only had eight points, but he's responsible for leading the Lakers to a crucial road victory. AP
Lakers v Spurs Game 5
The Lakers face the Spurs tonight in Game 5 in San Antonio. The series is tied 2-2 and is now a best of three games. Tonight in SA, Saturday in LA, and then early next week back in SA. The Spurs have the home court. Lakers need to win one in San Antonio to have a chance. They need to win tonight. As do the Spurs. Tune in tonight at 8pm on ABC.

Lakers Tie It Up
THAT WAS AWESOME
Kobe was spectacular with 42 points. Shaq played solid. Payton was strong. The team did well today and won to tie up the series against San Antonio 2-2. Great stuff.

Okay, so what’s next?
Okay, so now that the NFL Draft is over, what do I have to look forward to next? Doing Laundry? Updating myself? Getting my feelers out there feeling? Sunshine? The Stanley Cup? Baseball season? Losing another game of online NBA Live?
As I typed the first line I remembered the NBA Playoffs. Kobe's in court this week and could show up late for game 5 against Houston back in LA. The Lakers lead the series 3-1 and should be able to close it out Wednesday. They'll have to face a tough San Antonio team next, which is always rough.
But what else is going on?
As you can see I've got some google ads on my site now which can't hurt. If you see something that catches your eye, don't hesitate to check it out and click around a little bit.
But what else?
I've got a few client projects going on right now.. smoothening out some work that was done by people who aren't with us anymore. Everything in this department is going well.
I've been playing Nintendo games on my computer at home a little bit recently. That's always fun.
Does anyone else come to this site? Post a reaction? Send me your link and we can be link buddies. Give me a shout out.
I can't think of anything else right now. I'm still very happy about the Falcons draft this past weekend. I had looked forward to this previous weekend for so long and so hard. Now that it's passed I'm trying to figure out what's next.
Also, I changed the archives from showing a full month to only showing a week's work of blogs. You may notice many more options to the right. I expect google's search index to update within the next couple of weeks. This way it should be easier for people to find old entries when searching and I'll also display a wider range of google ads per page. Thanks for the support.
Lakers win again

**Watch this play**
Kobe Bryant and the Lakers were once again amazing as they beat the Houston Rockets 98-84 to go up 2-0 in their first round playoff series.
Shaquille had a career playoff low 7 points, Karl Malone hit a high percentage of his shots, Kareem Rush had a pair of threes, Derek Fischer had a pair of threes, and even Luke Walton hit a three at one point.
The Rockets kept it close in the first half, but the Lakers exploded in the third quarter and never looked back. Steve Francis had a triple double in the losing effort.
Game 3 is in Houston, Friday night.
Kobe Bryant is Amazing!
I'm a big fan.
You have to see the game tying three the kid made at the end of regulation and the game winning three he made at the end of the second overtime.
You can't tell me that this isnt absolutely out-of-this-world insane... im so excited for the playoffs, Shaq vs Yao.. will be fun... and the Lakers rule!
Amazing, watch this clip..

Kobe hits the game winner
Lakers win Shaq/Yao 5, 96-93.
Kobe had 7 assists in the first quarter. Shaq scores 28 while going 2-13 from the charity stripe. Recap
