We’re Back!

Just so you know.

It was GREAT to visit with everyone in New Jersey, Holley, Rochester, Auburn, Letchworth Park, and in between!
SAGE ALSO HAD A BEST
BEST TIME EVER she kept on saying over and over in the car!
Now she has a new toy to play with and is super excited.
I’ll tell her you said Hi.

So…

By the way, we made it into New Jersey last night around 3AM in case anyone was wondering.

Traveling Today

Heard last night that the Nor’easter is supposed to be today’s big story. Rain, Sleet, Snow even in the Mid-Atlantic today. Great! We’ll be driving from Michigan to New Jersey through Ohio and Pennslyvania today.. Should be at least interesting with the weather I guess.

Here is the Travel Advisory from weather.com
Nasty Northeast
10/25/2005 2:25 a.m. ET Senior Meteorologist, The Weather Channel
Northeast
A coastal storm will develop rapidly early this morning and produce rush hour misery across the Northeast from Pennsylvania and New Jersey to New England. Energy from Hurricane Wilma may also energize this system slightly and make the results even worse. Wind gusts from 50 to 60 mph seem likely along the New England coast and over Long Island, with possibly higher gusts around Cape Cod and the Islands. Moderate coastal flooding is expected and a storm surge of 3 feet may occur in Boston. Rainfall is expected to be heavy, probably in the range of 2 to 4 inches in areas already saturated. Coastal flooding and heavy surf can also be anticipated. Accumulating snowfall, primarily above 1500 feet, seems likely from West Virginia into the Green Mountains of Vermont. Heavy wet snow on leaf-bearing trees any cause tree and power line damage and a resulting loss of power for some. Winter storm watches extend from West Virginia to New England for the higher elevations. Temperatures will be chilly so keep the heavy jackets handy.

Out of Town Tour

We’re heading out tomorrow morning en route to New Jersey. We’ll be there for a few days and then in upstate New York.. Should be back sometime on Halloween. I’ll try to hit this from the road at some point.

Hey Yo

Made it to Jersey. BJ and I went to Brooklyn and hung out with Vas. Got back to Jersey around 3 AM. Now we are getting ready to drive down to Emmaus/Philly for Ben’s wedding. I am eating cheerios. As fast as I can. Which means I have a moutful right now. Anyway. Cherrio.

Heading Out

Well, I am heading out of tomn tomorrow for a little bit. Tomorrow I board a flight in Lansing, make a quick stop in Washington DC, and arrive in Neward, New Jersey. Yee. At which time I will meet up with Bob Jones who will take me to Jersey City and it’s possible we will venture to Brooklyn tomorrow night. On Saturday we will wake and go to Ben Colson’s wedding in Emmaus, PA and the reception in Philadelphia. On Sunday we will rise and return to Jersey City to watch the Falcons crush the Giants. At which time either my father will be picking me up and I will spend the week in Holley, NY or I will stay and meet up with Sara once she reaches New Jersey. Not sure what is happening yet. But first thing first. If you need me, I’ll be back.

Trip to New Jersey
The trip to New Jersey was in retrospect quite successful. I was able to sift through the products and give basically an 8 hour lesson/demo on all of its features and functions. There were some issues like their servers processing extremely slow which made for a very annoying day but in the end it was successfully mostly because I survived. I’m glad its over, but I fear my name is going to be called again soon to go onsite. The drive was pretty crappy last night cause it was raining the whole way. I hate driving in the rain at night. Bob Jones was up to no-good when I met up with him Tuesday. Thanks again for letting me crash over. I woke up mad early yesterday morning for my Jersey commute. Thankfully I was going the opposite direction than the flow and had no troubles finding the site. It was extremely foggy but I didn’t let that hold me back. The people I met with were nice, so that’s always a plus.

Steroids in Baseball
Steroids in Baseball is a big deal. Players have been cheating. They are using steroids, THG, Ando, and Human Gene Hormones to drastically alter their body in order to increase their performance on the field. They are destroying themselves and cheating. Players who use these substances have an unfair advantage and should be banned or removed from baseball.
It does not seem right that a great ball player like Barry Bonds has hit over 225 home runs since his 35th birthday and is obviously much bigger than he ever was during the first 10 years of his career. The guy is wearing a hat four sizes larger than what he wore in the mid nineties.
Mark McGwire was caught by a reporter in 1998 for having Andro in his locker, in the open, the year after he broke the all time home run record. A shot putter was banned for life and stripped of all his gold medals because of the same substance, yet Major League Baseball pretty much ignored this and changed policies on reporters being in locker rooms.
Before 1995 there were 18 players to hit more than 50 home runs in a season, since 1995 there have been 18 players to hit more than 50 home runs in a season. It is a big deal and needs to stop.
5% of the players in baseball failed announced tests during spring training last year. And basically you need to fail 5 years in a row under the new rules in order to be banned from baseball. It’s ridiculous. And they say the players union will never let them test and let test results be known to the general public. It’s such bullshit.

Keyshawn Got Dumped
How about that. Keyshawn got de-activated on Tuesday from the Tampa Bay Buccanears. He must have really pissed some people off in the front office, including coach Gruden. Supposedly he met with coach Gruden a couple weeks ago and said how much he didn’t like him, his coaching strategy, or the team in general. He said he would be gone after the year was over and wanted to leave. Then last week he supposedly put his house in Tampa for sale. It is seen as a loss-loss situation for both parties.
The Bucs are not better without him on the field, but they have removed this enigma from their locker room. Keyshawn has been blacklisted as a player who only cares about himself and the amount of times he gets the ball thrown to him, rather than being a team player and only concentrating on winning and doing whats necessary to help ensure the team wins. It hasn’t been a pleasant rebounding season for the Bucs who are now 4-6 after winning the Super Bowl championship last year. Who’se better off?

Vick Reinjuring Ankle
Michael Vick, who had hoped to return to the Atlanta Falcons lineup this weekend, said Thursday that his ankle is still hurting and he most likely won’t play in any capacity against the Tennessee Titans.
Vick was hurt in practice Wednesday when a teammate stepped on the his right ankle in a walkthrough. He said Thursday that it was too early to tell whether he’ll be able to play next week.
Team orthopedist Andrew Bishop and trainer Ron Medlin said Wednesday that Vick did not sustain further damage to his right foot. They added that Vick rolled his ankle after taking a snap and trying to step to his right as his foot was caught.

Let It Be Naked
I’ve picked up the new Beatles cd which removes the wall of sound added by Phil Spectre post production of the original recording of the Let it Be sessions and I can accurately and proudly say that it is a great gosh darn cd. The Beatles are great in any shape or form, but listening to this album has really put in perspective how great this band would have been if they underproduced every disc rather than adding too much which sometimes you could say they did. I’m not too familiar with the original release of Let it Be because I do not own that album but I’m interested in sitting down and listening to the differences. The second disc included in this Let it Be package is called “A fly on the wall” and basically has about 20 minutes of clips of songs, little insights and quicks by the fab four, and other golden nuggets. For 12.99 this was a great purchase.

MJ
I don’t understand why the world is out to seek the worst penalties on this man before knowing the truth to the entire matter. Regardless of every single Media’s speculation, I find Michael Jackson to be harmless. Yes he’s weird. So what. If it does turn out that he is extremely guilty than its a different story. But it makes me sick how horrible he is treated and has been treated the past 15 years. I really feel bad for him. Just misunderstood? It’s not fair to any living human the way he has been repeatedly treated in the media. Maybe someone should have killed him 10 years ago, so he didn’t have to go through this and we could just remember him as a legend.
