So, yeah…
New Blog Post
Not much going on. I think the stupid twitter site has killed a lot of my intention to write blogs these days as many of my quick thoughts are just punched out onto that site and never make it here. But then again, not every quick thought needs to have its own entry when it can be punched thru in 140 characters or less. The past week I’ve laid off the tweets a bit which I think is a good thing. No need to tweet everything. Etc. So add that with the fact that 90% of my twobs.com activity occurs on our message board, the blog is left with a very undeserving 10% of input.
Other than that the big story in Albany right now is the filming of a car chase scene for the movie Salt. We can sorta see a lot of what they are doing from our office windows on the 15th floor downtown, but it’s not like we can really tell what’s going on. It was funny earlier to look out and see a whole roll of cars getting ready for whatever, see them all start to move and then a minute later, see them all reverse back to where they started. Sure, I get it, you NYC or Hollywood folk see this type of stuff all the time, but this stuff doesn’t happen all the time in Albany, NY… so it’s a big story today.
Other than that not much really going on this weekend. Electronics Recycling Day tomorrow, hope to get rid of an old TV and old computer monitor, maybe some other junk too. Suppose I’ll dip into some NFL Draft here and there as well as some playoff NBA action. Not much else going on. It is what it is.
Upcoming Weekend
Okay so what, so I am thinking about it already.. Whatever. Here’s the thing. I’ve got no plans. She’s going away from Sat Morning to Mon Morning…. so… what am I going to do?
I’m open to travel, but not more than 100 miles.
I’m open to have visitors, but no one wants to visit me.
I’m open to drive in to Albany, but what is there to do?
So… anyone have any suggestions? Anyone want to come visit me? Anyone care?

Vermont Road Trip
Greetings Travelers
It’s Friday and that’s a good thing. Got a lot on the plate but it’s no big thing. Doing this doing that and doing it well. Well, to the best of my knowledge. But anyway… Not much on the docket for the weekend. Possible trip to Vermont. May have to postpone that a couple weekends since I am just not feeling like traveling this weekend. Sara is off to Boston this weekend for a girls weekend with Stella and Theresa. Coolness. Everything else is copesetic on my front.. What’s shaking on your end of town?
Is it the Weekend yet?
Known Issue
3 Day Weekends
I have a feeling if we just automatically made every weekend a 3-Day event, we would still have issues on Tuesdays returning to work.
It wouldn’t matter.
So we can either just…
a) do away with work
b) make it a 5 day weekend and a 2 day work-week
c) or just leave it as it is, suck it up and deal, and be rewarded every now and then with a 3 day weekend
Monday Morning!
Yep Another Week.
Another CMP situation with everything. Going grocery shopping after work. Tried to go to DMV yesterday to take care of things, but it was just a mess. We didn’t have all the paperwork we needed, but we were glad we didn’t in a way cause while we were in line they made an announcement that their computers were down so I bet anything I got that we would have sat there til 6pm and they still wouldn’t have been able to help us out. Oh well.. Next time we’ll leave work earlier and just pump it out. I gotta take care of figuring out the insurance thing and I gotta order the taillight part for my car like ASAP..
Before I type my next thought let me preface it with saying that my weekend philosophy is to just relax. Some weekends have definitive plans, some do not. I don’t want to spend every weekend-all weekend accomplishing tasks that can only be done on the weekends. With that being said, I have a million things I want to do this weekend and every weekend, but I’d rather just relax. There’s a fine line, and I’m working on finding it.. but yeah— that’s where I’m at with that.
Friday!
What a sicky week… but thankfully… here we are it’s FRIDAY time!
YAY!
My little sister Colleenie is on here way down from the Adirondacks to visit us for the weekend. We are going to have a rocking good time. Tonight Greg’s band Firefighter Font is playing up in Saratoga. We’ll most likely check that out and it will be our first time collectively seeing them play. Her friend Kate is driving in tomorrow and we have loose plans to do various activities throughout the weekend. Should be a grand ole time!
We went on a shopping spree at Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday and bought the following items and more if I don’t remember everything. Another 45 piece set of silverware (Oneida – Icarus). We got one set for our wedding but figured we should get another set now before it’s impossible to find our set and then we have more than 8 forks, spoons, etc.. That wast he big ticket item. We got a new silverware thing to actually put them in. We also got a bed dust ruffle/skirt thingy (Nautica-Highland) to match our new duvet cover, etc. We got a new mattress cover. Let’s see. We got 4 new towels (2 light green, 2 light blue) and matching hand towels and wash clothes. I got a new coffee mug. We got a couple empty spice containers for our new spice rack (red pepper wasn’t one of the spices it came with, and will be subsequently substituted in for one of the ones we don’t use often). We got a few flat cooking pans. We got a bread loaf sized pyrex glass pan. We got a stainless steel plunger thingy for the bathroom. I think that was it, but there was possibly a few more items, but anyway… I won’t even talk about the insane ordeal of trying to return a broken item and the annoyance we had in dealing with it.. but anyway..
Onward and Upward… Happy Friday everyone and enjoy the weekend!
The Sickness…
So I felt it when I woke up Friday and did I proceed to take care of myself over the weekend? No. As you can see, I was at a bonfire party 2 nights in a row, staying up til 4am and 6am Friday night and Saturday night… which brings me to here. The cough is bad. The nose is runny. I’m cranky and want to go back to bed… The good news is that it’s already 10 o’clock. The bad news is that it’s only 10 o’clock. In the end, you are the decision that you make. I did it to myself. I realize that. I’d be just tired right now if I did what I did without the sickness, but now I’m tired and I don’t feel good. But whatever, what am I going to do? Nothing. You’ve gotta lay in the bed you made.
It’s Friday
The Weekend!
Lazy
Going Phishin!
Okay.
NOW, I am starting to get excited about this weekend’s upcoming Phish shows. There is definately something different about these upcoming shows then ever before. Back in 1999 I was excited all summer to see Phish in Albany when school started. Last summer I even counted down the days like it was my birthday or something before the festival in Maine. But there’s something different about this time. Phish has grown on me. I don’t feel the same excitement I did before. They are officially stopping at the end of this summer. It’s very possible that these shows this weekend will be the last I’ll ever see them live. It’s ok. I got the new cd in the mail yesterday and it has also grown on me. At first I wasn’t sure, but I like it. It’s fresh.
Thursday night we’re going down to the Crossgates mall in Albany to see the concert from Coney Island simulcasted on the big screen. It’s going to be cool. Yeah, it will be a little weird to not be at the show, but to be at the show. We’ll be dancing in a movie theatre with a bunch of our closest friends. My Oneonta friends are coming. My Gloversville friends are coming. We’re looking forward to it.
Friday, some close friends from high school are driving out and over to Saratoga to hang out and go to the shows in Saratoga this weekend. It will be great to see them. I haven’t seen Tommy since last summer. And I haven’t seen Josh and Ben since 2001 when Trey played SPAC. My sister is also driving out on Saturday and coming to the shows. Our friends Jan and Jem are coming from Philly. Bob Jones is coming up from Jersey City on Sunday. Some Foleyboard friends from Poughkeepsie, Buffalo, New Jersey, and Ottawa are also expected to stay over and pitch tents in our backyard. We’re a little edgy cause we have no idea how many people are actually going to stay over or not.
Saturday and Sunday we’re going to the Phish shows at SPAC. They could be our last phish shows ever if we don’t go to the festival in Vermont. Our status for that still seems unlikely with the things we need to deal with going on at that same time. We have lawn seats and plan to have a good gathering of people joining us in the extreme fun that is a Phish show. Okay, maybe not extreme, but intense. I hope to meet some other foleyboard dudes while at the shows.
So I don’t know. I’m finally starting to get exicted about this upcoming weekend mostly because it’s this weekend. The new disc rocks. You should pick it up. I’m pumped. Hope to see you out!
Weekend Plans
I’ll be going to Gloversville tonight for a healthy dose of electricity. Izer will be born and my brain will become scattered by Mr. Oblivious. I probably won’t say hello to Jose even after I runaway from Doink. You’ll rock while I rock, but we’ll all be rocking the mesa out. It will feel like summer, so i’ll probably jam in the wind but hopefully no one gets a concussion. I could even cross paths with the elusive gypsy squirrel man-woman. I still haven’t figured out what patterns will arise from Bob Jones deciding to come or not. I’m not oblivious, yet I don’t think that 5 is exactly normal. I’m not the slime but I will join you for a subterranean tea party. Tomo might even show. That mountain lion Karibe will probably even try to swim across Echo Lake to feed on some lemmings. Phil’s guitar will probably need a backwash Saturday morning while we all laugh and dance around a fire.
Who: Rezi
When: Tonight and Tomorrow
Where: Gloversville and Echo Lake
What: Cafe Zacquor and Springfling 3

Back in the Flesh
Weekend Blastimo!

Falcons win! 27-13 against Dallas. Great game for the team. Positive motivation and proof that we don’t need Vick to win. Keep up the good work boys. Next week we play the Skins.. Should be fun! Griffith was very impressive in his nfl debut at fullback. Nice!
Last Night
Last night was fun, we went to an engagement party in Cooperstown for Jeremiah Brown and his fiance Candice. It was cool. I got to see a lot of my swimmer friends from college that I had not seen in quite some time including Sloan, CJ, Tanaka, and Erika. We had fun. Then we drove back to Saratoga around 10pm and went out with Joanna and Ed. That was also fun. I was very tired. I slept until 1 today.
Friday Night
Friday Night Rezi played the Carriage House at Beardslee Castle. It was great. They played with another band and all the sets sequed into each other’s sets. It was cool how they did that. Basically the music never stopped all night. Fun times. It was my sisters first Rezi show. It was a late night, and it required driving home very late at night. I got back by 4 AM.
